Ganga-Yamuna Expressway Connectivity News: The expressway network in Uttar Pradesh is going to get new momentum. The 74.3 km long Link Expressway connecting Ganga Expressway and Yamuna Expressway is now on the way to becoming a reality. Yes…about 740 acres of land from 16 villages will be purchased for this expressway. The survey for purchasing land has been completed. The special thing is that this mega project, to be built at a cost of about Rs 4,000 crore, will not only strengthen the connectivity of Delhi-NCR and Western UP, but will also directly benefit Noida International Airport and industrial areas.
The process of construction of this link expressway proposed by Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEDA) has been expedited. According to RK Singh, CEO of Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YIDA), the land survey in the YIDA area has been completed and the process of land purchase will be started from January. This expressway will start from 44.3 km point of Ganga Expressway in Sayana area of Bulandshahr and connect to 24.8 km point of Yamuna Expressway (near Sector-21, Film City).
9 km elevated expressway, service road will also be built
Of this 74.3 kilometer long link expressway, about 20 kilometers will be in the Yida area, in which about 9 kilometers of elevated expressway will be built. Along with this, service road will also be constructed for the convenience of the local people. About 740 acres of land of 16 villages of Yida area will be acquired, on which it is estimated that about Rs 1200 crore will be spent. After land acquisition, the construction work will be done by UPEDA.
New expressway will pass through 56 villages
This link expressway will pass through the lands of a total of 56 villages. 8 villages of Gautam Buddha Nagar district will be included in this. Mehndipur Bangar, Bhaipur Brahmanan, Rabupura, Bhunnataga, Mayana, Fazilpur, Kalupura of Jewar tehsil. 48 villages of Bulandshahr district, including 14 villages of Khurja tehsil, villages of Bulandshahr, Sayana and Shikarpur tehsil.
The connection of Ganga Expressway and Yamuna Expressway will provide direct and fast connectivity to Noida International Airport. Apart from this, the journey to Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, Agra and Prayagraj will become easier.
Industry and employment will get a boost
This link expressway will directly connect to Industrial Sectors 28, 29, 32 and 33 of Yamuna City. This is expected to create new opportunities for industrial investment, logistics and employment in the area.
