A student has captured a surprising scene on his camera in the Sabi Sand (Greater Kruger) of the Kruger National Park in South Africa. A hungry leopard made a strategy to capture the entire family of pigs. The leopard first caught two small children, then pounced on the mother pig who was trying to run away.
In the jungle world, the struggle between life and death goes on every moment. Here cruelty and beauty co-exist, where the life of one creature becomes food for another. Such videos are often seen on social media. Recently, one such scary video was shared by Latest Sightings on its YouTube channel, which is of Sabi Sand Safari, a part of Greater Kruger in South Africa. In this video you will see that a leopard destroyed the entire family of wild boar in one stroke. The hungry leopard first caught both the children and then made their mother (wild boar) also its prey. This video was captured by a student and photographer Caspar Siebel in his camera when he was present in the safari vehicle with his father.
Kasper told that apart from a few birds, he did not see any special animals during the long morning drive. Then suddenly his eyes fell on a leopard, who appeared to be roaming on the road with the clear intention of hunting. On seeing this, a wave of excitement ran among all the people sitting in the safari vehicle. The guide showed wisdom and turned in the direction of the leopard. After tracking for about half an hour, we were successful in finding the leopard near the burrow of a wild boar. During this time he saw that instead of attacking the bill directly, the leopard adopted a clever strategy. He went around the pig’s hole and created a ruckus at the mouth of the hole. His strategy was to scare the pigs and get them out of the hole. His strategy worked completely.
The father (male wild boar) was the first in the family of pigs to come out and run towards the bushes as fast as he could, thereby escaping the leopard’s grip. At this moment Caspar immediately took out his phone and started filming the entire incident. Piglets also started trying to run after their father, but their speed was slow. In such a situation, as soon as the first child came out, the leopard caught him with lightning speed. The second child also came out, but seeing his brother in the leopard’s mouth, he stood there in fear. The leopard, which usually runs away to the tree with its prey, greedily dropped the first victim on the ground because it knew that it was so injured that it would not be able to run away and immediately pounced on it and caught hold of the second child as well.
The leopard did not even spare the mother!
On one hand, the luck of the leopard was good, while on the other hand, the luck of the wild boar family was very bad. After capturing the babies, the most dramatic turn of the story came when the mother pigs tried to escape through the back entrance at that very moment. The leopard had already almost killed both its cubs and as soon as it heard the sound of the mother running away, without wasting any time it dropped the other cub and jumped and pounced on the mother too! Everyone present in the safari vehicle was stunned to see this scene. Within a few minutes the entire pig family was destroyed. Finishing the job, the leopard immediately started eating one of the smaller cubs and safely hid the mother and the other cub in a nearby tree to eat later. Caspar Seibel admitted that it was a very sad event, but it was also an unforgettable moment.
