Sahebganj: A heart-wrenching incident came to light from Sahebganj district of Jharkhand, where a 19-year-old girl was brutally murdered by slitting her throat. This sensational case tells a horrifying tale of love, suspicion and obsession. Police have arrested lover Suraj Ravidas. On the behest of the accused, the body of the girl was recovered from the hilly forest near Motijharna.
Police investigation has revealed that there was friendship between the deceased and accused Suraj Ravidas on Instagram. There were talks between the two for a long time and meetings also started taking place. Gradually this friendship turned into love. But in recent times, Suraj started doubting his girlfriend’s character. This doubt gradually made him crazy and he hatched a dreadful conspiracy.
I called on the pretext of meeting
It is being told that the accused called the girl to meet him in the forest. The girl reached the appointed place with confidence. Both of them met in the hilly forest near Motijharna, where a dispute broke out over some issue. Meanwhile, Suraj, blinded by anger and suspicion, slit the girl’s throat with a sharp weapon and killed her on the spot. After the murder, the accused hid the body in the forest and fled.
Police engaged in investigation
The incident came to light when the girl’s family lodged a complaint of her kidnapping at Barhet police station. Based on the complaint, the police took immediate action and started investigation. Suraj Ravidas’ name came up in the investigation of mobile call details and social media activities. The police took him into custody and interrogated him strictly, in which he confessed to his crime. On the information of the accused, the police raided the mountain forest near Motijharna and recovered the body of the girl. After the dead body was found, sensation spread in the entire area. Police have sent the body for post-mortem and further legal process is underway.
