Everyone will get minimum wage guarantee
Minimum wages have been guaranteed under the new labor code. Whether someone works in a factory, is an office employee or a gig worker, everyone will get its benefits. Earlier, minimum wage was limited to some scheduled industries. By making changes in this, the government will set the national floor wage.
Gratuity will be available after one year of work
Under the new Labor Code, the government has decided to reduce the waiting period for gratuity to one year for fixed term or contract employees. Earlier, to get gratuity, employees had to work in a company continuously for 5 years. That means, if a person works continuously for 1 year in a company, he can demand gratuity.
Everyone will get appointment letter
According to the new labor laws, every employer will have to give a written appointment letter to the employees at the time of joining. The government’s objective behind this step is to reduce the arbitrariness of companies and protect the interests of employees.
