Told about husband’s illicit affair
According to the victim Gausiya, this was just an excuse. Actually, Saddam wanted additional dowry amount of Rs 12 lakh, if he could not fulfill it, he started threatening triple talaq. Gausiya was married on 25 October 2023 in village Kudila of Tikamgarh. The parents gave dowry as per their capacity, but within a few days of the marriage the attitude of the husband and in-laws changed. The victim says that her husband called her three different times, but every time she became a victim of beatings, abuses and mental torture. Apart from this, Gausiya alleged that the husband had illicit relations with other women and used to threaten to douse her with petrol and even burn her to get her out of the way.
Maulana asked for Rs 12 lakh
Gausia told that Saddam and his family members placed an additional demand of Rs 12 lakh after the marriage. The victim told the officers that her parents work as laborers to run the house. Where would he get such a huge amount from? According to the victim, when she expressed her inability to pay dowry, the torture became more severe. Father-in-law Ghafoor Ali, mother-in-law Bafatin, Khalu Khalil, aunt Ruksana and other relatives also kept harassing her mentally.
Complaint lodged in Naugaon police station
Gausiya had filed a complaint at Naugaon police station on October 13 itself, in which she had mentioned dowry harassment and threats, but no concrete steps were taken by the police. After this, she reached the SP office with her brother and submitted a detailed report along with documents and demanded justice. He says that the accused kept many important documents including his Aadhar card with them and threw him out of the house.
Police did not take any action!

He said that the matter was also reported in Tikamgarh, but no action was taken there also.
