The air of Faridabad and Gurugram has again become poisonous today. The AQI of Sector 16 reached 491 and that of 16A reached 449, which is a dangerous level. Many sectors of Gurugram are also in critical category. Experts’ advice: wear a mask, go out less and take care of your health.
Faridabad: The air of Faridabad and Gurugram is once again sitting as a burden on people’s breath. Since morning, a layer of smog and dust is clearly visible in many areas of the city. This poison dissolved in the air is not only causing irritation in the eyes, but is also causing a feeling of heaviness in the throat and chest. The most worrying thing is that the situation in some sectors has reached dangerous levels.
Toxic air is heavy on the lungs
Today AQI crossed every limit in Sector 16 and 16A of Faridabad. AQI of Sector 16 was recorded at 491 which directly falls in the dangerous category. This level is so high that even people walking in the morning and evening are avoiding going out. The condition of Sector 16A is also no different, here AQI reached 449. According to doctors, this level of air can be heavy on the lungs not only for the elderly and children but also for completely healthy people.
The air in these areas is bad
The air quality is bad in other parts of Faridabad also. PM2.5 level was measured at 162 in Sector 30 and 169 in Sector 11. These figures fall in the bad category, that is, staying in this air for a long time can have effects like irritation in the eyes and throat, cough and difficulty in breathing. Many people have started traveling wearing masks since morning.
Talking about Ballabhgarh, the air level there kept changing from place to place but on average AQI was recorded between 180 to 230. That means the air has ranged from bad to very bad. The situation is being felt even more serious in the industrial and traffic areas of Ballabhgarh.
AQI 326 in Sector 49 of Gurugram
On the other hand, Gurugram also did not remain untouched by the wind today. AQI reached 326 in Sector 49 which is considered in the dangerous category. Whereas the AQI of Sector 65 was 275 which is a serious level. AQI 176 was recorded in Sector 57 which falls in the unhealthy category. The level of PM2.5 in NISE located at Gwal Pahari was 191, this is also a clear indication that the air is not normal.
