Local resident Jitendra Kumar says that its history is more than 60 years old. This temple was established by Moti Nishad, a resident of Surhupur village. There is also a pond just to the north of the temple, which further enhances its sanctity and natural beauty. Statues of Lord Vishnu, Lord Shankar and Lord Ganesha have been installed in the temple courtyard. Due to the campus being covered with dense trees, the sun’s rays also enter here in very less quantity, due to which this place appears more peaceful and sacred. For this reason it is called the temple of Nathu Baba and it holds a special place in the religious heritage of Sultanpur.
