Psychology teachers will try to solve the psychological problems of the students. If students are facing any emotional problems then the task force will solve them also. UGC has said in its instructions regarding the responsibility assigned to the Education Secretaries that the Supreme Court has said that students face many problems in higher educational institutions. They need support to solve this.
Students’ problems will be discussed
UGC has created a task force in the universities and has entrusted the responsibility of submitting its report to the Education Secretary. UGC says that the students who come for enrollment in higher educational institutions in the first year face many psychological problems, but they cannot tell anyone. Therefore, teachers need to be with them at this time. Along with teachers, student representatives will also be in the task force. Student representatives will talk to the students about their problems and discuss their solutions with senior teachers.
Service will run 24 hours seven days
Counseling of students will be done from college to hostel. During counselling, students will be asked about the problems they face in colleges and universities along with personal problems. Tele Manas facility will also be started. UGC has also given instructions for this to all the universities. This service is being started keeping in mind the mental health of the students studying in colleges and PG departments. UGC says that following the instructions of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the service of Tele Manas is being started in universities. This service will run 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Students will get the facility of Tele Manas on their mobile only. For this they will have to download the app. UGC has also released QR code to download the app.
