The i10 lags behind the Swift here
Both the cars get a 1.2-litre 4 cylinder engine. Both also get the option of 5-speed manual or automatic gearbox. It is worth noting that in terms of power output, the i10 is slightly less powerful than its competitor Swift. One produces 83 bhp of max power and 114 Nm of peak torque, while Swift produces around 88 bhp of max power and 113 Nm of peak torque. However, in terms of torque, both are almost equal. The mileage of both the cars is 20 km. The mileage in the CNG model reaches up to 28 kmpl.

On the one hand Maruti’s hatchback is bigger in terms of size, on the other hand i10 is slightly ahead in terms of features. The new Grand i10 Nios comes with a host of features, many of which are being introduced for the first time in the segment. It gets over 30 safety features including 6 airbags, hill assist, parking assist and burglar alarm. Inside the cabin, there are new features like 8-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, Type C charging port for phones, wireless charging, rear AC vents and cooled glove box. Many of these features are not available in Swift.
Which car is more economical?
Hyundai has launched the new Grand i10 Nios in 4 variants. It gets both petrol and CNG options. The starting price of the hatchback is Rs. 5.68 lakh (ex-showroom). This goes up to 8.46 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-end variant. In comparison to the Hyundai hatchback, the Maruti Suzuki Swift is slightly more expensive with a starting price of Rs 5.91 lakh (ex-showroom). The Swift is also available in porthole and CNG versions. Prices for the ICE versions go up to ₹ 8.71 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec ZXi Plus with the AGS transmission unit. The CNG model of the hatchback is priced between ₹ 7.77 lakh and ₹ 8.45 lakh (ex-showroom).
