Swati Maliwal told that during the inspection on the night of January 18, she was dragged for 10-15 meters by a car thief. In the backdrop of the heinous murder of a 20-year-old girl, Swati Maliwal had decided to inspect the security situation for women during the night. The commission chief visited several places near Kanjhawala, Munirka, Mundka, Hauz Khas and observed the situation of dark spots and police deployment at various places in Delhi. When she went near him to scold him, he again made obscene gestures towards her. When they tried to catch him, he closed the window glass which trapped Swati Maliwal’s hand. After this, he increased the speed of the vehicle while dragging them along with the car for several metres. Although she somehow managed to escape.
