Shimla. Amidst the economic crisis in Himachal Pradesh, the Sukhu government had given orders for fundraising for the Kangra Valley Carnival. But now after the controversy these orders have been withdrawn. The order issued on December 17 has now been withdrawn on Sunday.
In the letter issued by District Controller, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Purushottam Sharma, it has been written that the earlier orders issued in this regard have been withdrawn.
On the other hand, BJP MLA Sudhir Sharma has shared a screen shot, in which it is written that all the Panchayat Secretaries are informed that tomorrow i.e. on 20-12-2024, all the Panchayat Secretaries should take the Kangra Carnival slips from the Development Block office and ensure to deposit Rs 10,000 from each Panchayat in the office for Kangra Carnival before 23-12-2025. However, BJP MLA Sudhir Sharma said that everyone is requested not to follow any such order, no matter what the gentleman says, the gentleman who has a hobby should fulfill it from his own pocket.
On withdrawing the decision, MLA Sudhir Sharma wrote that O Lord, we are blessed that you accepted this request, we understood that you are you.

It is noteworthy that the Sukhu government wants to organize a carnival in Kangra from 24 to 31 December. However, due to the economic crisis, an order was issued that donations were sought from all the petrol pumps, brick kilns, petrol pumps, gas agencies, HPTL license holders, rice and flour millers operators of Kangra for the carnival. District Controller, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Purushottam Sharma wrote in his new order that the operators who were requested to contribute for the Kangra Valley Carnival. The said letter is withdrawn with immediate effect.
