Today she earns more than ₹1000 daily by opening a beauty parlor with just ₹10,000. Not only earning, now they are also earning good income by training poor women.

Pratibha Devi is an inspiration for thousands of women who lose their identity after marriage due to responsibilities. Pratibha, who once remained unemployed at home, today not only earns herself but is also showing the path of employment to others. But his journey began at a turn that he himself had never imagined. In their story, there is also a proof of the efforts of Block Project Manager of Jeevika Khodavandpur and the success of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s plan.
Course learned before marriage, now becomes a source of income
Pratibha told Local 18 that she had done a beauty parlor course before marriage, but after coming to her in-laws’ house, due to the financial condition of the family not being strong, she sat at home. Despite having training, there was no money to start the work. It was during this time that she came to know about the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rozgar Yojana—and this was the ‘one chance’ that changed the course of her life.
Pratibha tells that when she got financial assistance of ₹ 10,000 from the government, she started a small beauty parlor at home with the same money. His hard work gradually bore fruits from the beginning. Earnings gradually increased and today the situation is such that Pratibha earns more than ₹ 1000 daily.
Mother-in-law also praises me
Pratibha’s story: Her mother-in-law also proudly tells that Pratibha’s parlor runs from morning till evening. During the wedding season their earnings increase manifold. Pratibha said that she charges ₹20,000 to ₹30,000 for bridal makeup, while the price for small jobs like eyebrow plucking starts from ₹30. Pratibha’s story proves that even a little government help can change someone’s life—all it takes is effort and courage.
Pratibha became the master of beauty parlor
Pratibha says that as her work started, she was contacted by a district NGO and offered to provide parlor training to poor women. In return they are given ₹7000 per batch. This means that now along with her earnings, Pratibha is also making dozens of women self-reliant.
