The researchers of the School of Medicine at the University of Washington in the US have also provided a list of various diseases related to Kovid-19, which also gives a big picture of long-term problems caused by the leprosy. He confirmed that Kovid-19 can affect almost every organ of the body in the long run, despite initially being a virus associated with respiratory diseases.
This study included about 87000 Kovid-19 patients and about 50 lakh other patients who had recovered. Ziyad al-Ali, senior author of the study and assistant professor of medicine, says, ‘Our study revealed that even after six months of detection, the risk of death is not low in minor cases of Kovid-19 and the severity of the disease Grows with
Al-Ali says, ‘Physicians must be vigilant while examining patients who have been infected with Kovid-19. These patients will require integrated, multidisciplinary care. ‘Researchers calculated first-hand cases based on interactions with patients and indications from small studies that showed various side effects in patients recovering from Kovid-19. He said that these side effects include respiratory problems, irregular heartbeat, mental health problems and hair fall.
Researchers found that after recovering from the initial infection – after the first 30 days of illness – people recovering from Kovid-19 have a 60 percent higher risk of death than the general population for the next six months. Researchers said that to the extent of six months, eight people have more deaths per 1000 patients among all those recovering from Kovid-19. He said that of the patients of Kovid-19 who need to be hospitalized and who recover after the initial 30 days of the disease, there are 29 more cases of death per 1000 patients in the next six months.
