Apart from this, dragon fruit plant can be planted on the terrace or courtyard of the house.
To plant a dragon fruit plant, you will need a pot of 15 inches diameter. So that its roots can get enough space to grow. You can also use a bigger pot than this to plant it.

You can use cuttings of this fruit to grow dragon fruit in pots. For this you will need about 12 inches of healthy cutting. You can plant it by making a hole in the soil. You have to take cuttings of 12 to 18 inches only.
To plant dragon fruit, the soil should be light, sandy and with good drainage, because it is a plant of cactus family and it does not like too much water. You can use a mixture of ordinary soil, sand and compost.
The dragon fruit plant grows like a vine, so it needs support to grow. You can use a sturdy wooden stick, pole, or iron structure and tie the plant to it.
Dragon fruit starts flowering after 12-14 months of planting. The flowers are white and large, from which fruits develop in a short time. The shape of the fruit is oval and when ripe its color becomes pink or red.
