Stock Market Today: The second trading session of the week in the Indian stock market on Tuesday, December 2, had a negative start to the trading day. Benchmark indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty 50 opened trading in the red.
The 30-share BSE Sensex index opened at 85,325.51, down 316.39 points or 0.37 percent, while the NSE Nifty 50 opened at 26,087.95, down 87.80 points or 0.34 percent.
By around 9:20 am, the Sensex was trading 115 points down at 85,526, while the Nifty 50 was trading at 26,147, down 28 points.

How was the market on Monday?
On Monday, December 1, there was a decline in the Indian stock market and both the major benchmark indices closed trading in the red. Sensex fell by 64.77 points or 0.08 percent to 85,641.90 points, while NSE Nifty 50 slipped by 27.20 points or 0.10 percent and ended the trading day at 26,175.75.
Maruti, Kotak Bank, HCLTech, Adani Port and Tech Mahindra were the top gainers from the BSE basket. Talking about the top losers, Bajaj Finance, Sun Pharma, Trent, SBIN and Bharti Airtel were. A rise was recorded in the shares of Nifty Midcap 100, Nifty IT, Nifty Auto and Nifty Smallcap 100.
Whereas Nifty Bank, Nifty 100, Nifty MMCG closed trading on the red mark. On Monday’s trading day, 15 shares from BSE basket closed on the green mark and 15 shares recorded a decline.
