Saharanpur Encounter News: Uttar Pradesh STF killed Siraj Ahmed, a criminal carrying a bounty of Rs 1 lakh, in an encounter in Gangoh area of Saharanpur. Siraj was wanted in the famous murder case of Sultanpur and was absconding for a long time. On the information of the informer, STF laid siege, after which Siraj opened fire on the police team. He was killed in retaliation. There were about 30 serious cases registered against Siraj, including murder.
Saharanpur: Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) achieved a major success and killed Siraj Ahmed, a criminal carrying a bounty of Rs 1 lakh, in an encounter. This encounter took place in Gangoh police station area of Saharanpur district. Siraj Ahmed was absconding in a famous murder case of Sultanpur and dozens of cases were registered against him under serious sections in many districts of UP.
Siraj Ahmed was originally a resident of Sultanpur district. He had committed a famous murder there, after which he was absconding. The police was searching for him for a long time and a reward of about one lakh rupees was declared on his head.
Siraj had reached Saharanpur from Punjab-Haryana border.
According to intelligence information, Siraj Ahmed had reached Gangoh area of Saharanpur from Punjab-Haryana border to commit some crime. During this time, STF got concrete information about his movement. On the information of informer, STF team tried to stop Siraj by laying siege in Gangoh area. Seeing himself surrounded, Siraj started firing on the police team. Siraj Ahmed was killed in retaliation by STF.
Weapons, cartridges and electronic items recovered
After the encounter, STF recovered 30 bore and 32 bore pistol, huge quantity of cartridges, four mobile phones, two Wi-Fi dongles, a small bag and some important documents from Siraj Ahmed from the spot.
More than 30 serious cases were registered
About 30 serious cases including murder, attempt to murder, National Security Act (NSUKA) were registered against Siraj Ahmed in different districts of Uttar Pradesh. He had been a challenge to law and order for a long time.
Siraj was close to Mukhtar, leader of D68 gang.
History-sheeter criminal Siraj Ahmed Mukhtar Ansari, carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh, was very close and a notorious criminal of Sultanpur district. Siraj Ahmed was also the leader of D-68 gang. It is being told that Siraj’s half a dozen vehicles and 7 very valuable properties worth crores had already been confiscated by the district administration. This action was taken on the orders of the court, which created panic among other criminals in the district.
