Noida : The life journey of Parvez Ali, resident of Muradpur village, is an inspiring story of struggle, hard work and self-confidence. Parvez Ali, born in an ordinary farmer family, proved that despite limited resources, if the goal is clear and hard work is continuous, then success is definitely achieved. Parvez Ali, who spent his childhood in the sugarcane fields, has today become a respected identity in the sports world and is serving as the District Sports Officer in-charge. He started practicing sports from the sugarcane fields itself.
Parvez Ali started from the playground. In the initial phase, he did not even have complete knowledge of the difference between Judo and Karate. He had come for training with the aim of learning self-defense. Gradually, during practice, he came to know that Judo is a different sport, in which there are competitions at state, national and international level. From here he made Judo his goal. During his continuous practice, he once suffered a serious injury, which weakened his courage, but his father’s words that if you go back, you will become a champion, became a lifesaver for him. As soon as the injury healed, he again entered the field and continued moving forward.
Along with sports, Parvez Ali’s interest in journalism also arose. He saw that issues related to society and public interest could be raised strongly through journalism. The role of journalists in conveying their views to the authorities impressed him. With this inspiration, he started journalism, but never let sports get separated from his life. Coaching the players in the morning, doing journalism during the day and training again in the stadium in the evening became a part of his daily routine.
There was a severe shortage of sports facilities in the early days of the conflict. A judo dress worth just Rs 250, simple shoes and a tracksuit preserved for years testify to his struggle. The first lower he got after winning the state level championship in 1997 still holds a special place in his memories. He won gold medals several times in the 60 and 66 kg weight categories and made his mark at the senior national level.
Today, as District Sports Officer in-charge, Parvez Ali is not only performing training but also administrative responsibilities. Solving the problems of players, development of various sports and communication with the public are his priorities. Under his guidance, many players are bringing glory to the country at national and international level and many players are serving in police, ITBP, CISF and other departments under sports quota. Parvez Ali’s story gives a message to the youth that with hard work and dedication every dream can come true.
