Patna. With the aim of improving law and order, the police administration in Patna district has taken a major administrative decision. On Friday (December 12), new police station chiefs have been deployed in 46 police stations of the district, while 12 police station chiefs have been put on standby. New in-charges have also been sent to important police stations like Airport, Kotwali, Kadamkuan, Secretariat and Sri Krishnapuri. This action is being seen as a strict initiative by SSP Karthikeya K Sharma. In fact, the police department believes that policing was being affected due to officers being stuck for a long time and weak functioning, for which this step was necessary to improve. In the name of improving law and order, SSP Karthikeya Sharma has given a strict message by making changes in dozens of police stations simultaneously.
Final approval given on SSP’s recommendation
The blame fell on these 12 police station chiefs
Among the police station heads present in the line are Rajkumar Singh of Khagaul, Santosh Kumar Sharma of Mokama, Balramlal Dev of Secretariat, Kishore Kunal Jha of Mehdiganj, Rajranjani Kumari of Mahila police station, Rajkumar of SC-ST police station, Neeraj Kumar Pandey of Agamkuan, Anil Kumar of Masaurhi, Alok Kumar of Dhanrua, Anil Kumar Singh of Belchhi, Vinod Kumar of Bikram and IIT Amhara. Shivshankar is included. All officers have been instructed to contribute to Patna Police Centre.
Incharges changed in important police stations
Important police stations like Airport, Kotwali, Kadamkuan, Secretariat, Shri Krishnapuri and Bypass are also included in this reshuffle. Prabhat Kumar of Shri Krishnapuri has been sent to Bikram, Janmejay Kumar of Kotwali has been sent to Kadamkuan, Jitendra Rana of Airport has been sent to Shri Krishnapuri and Ajay Kumar of Kadamkuan has been sent to Kotwali. Rajesh Kumar Jha of Bypass has been made in-charge of Agamkuan and Amit Kumar of Gaurichak has been made in-charge of Bihta police station.

Changes in women and special police stations also
Changes have also been made in the women and special police stations. Afsa Parveen, posted in the cyber police station, has been given the charge of the women police station, while Sanjay Kumar has been made the police station chief of the Scheduled Caste-Tribe police station. Apart from this, new police station chiefs have been appointed in many other police stations including Musallahpur, Bahadurpur, Athamalgola, Janipur, Rajivnagar and Kadirganj.

This action of Patna Police is being seen as a clear message that negligence and weak functioning will no longer be tolerated. The police administration believes that this comprehensive reshuffle will strengthen law and order in the district and will increase security confidence among the common people.
