Dhanbad. Deputy Commissioner cum District Magistrate Shri Aditya Ranjan has taken an important initiative with the aim of ensuring the best performance of the students in the board examinations in Dhanbad district and to acquaint them with the real examination environment. Under this, instructions have been given to conduct pre-board examination of matriculation in 141 schools of the district and intermediate in 36 high schools. This examination is being conducted completely on the pattern of board examination, so that students can appear in the main examination with confidence, free from any kind of mental pressure.
In this sequence, the Deputy Commissioner visited BSS Girls School, PM Shri Governmentized Plus Two High School (H.E. School) and other schools. During the visit, he took stock of the arrangement of examination centres, question paper distribution, availability of answer sheets and disciplinary system. Also communicated directly with the students and took detailed information about their studies, preparation and difficulties.
While addressing the students, the Deputy Commissioner said that the Honorable Chief Minister has a clear vision that the students of government schools should perform excellently in board and competitive examinations and bring glory to the state and the district. Pre-board examination is being organized for this purpose. He told that this examination is being conducted in two shifts on 18, 19, 22, 23, 24 and 26 December 2025. In pre-board, question papers and answer sheets are being given to the students in the same way as they are given in the board examination. With this, students will be able to become well acquainted with time management, answer writing and examination discipline.
The Deputy Commissioner said that students performing well in the pre-board examination will be honored by the district administration. For this, the officials and teachers of the education department are guiding the students with all their hard work. He expressed confidence that with this initiative, Dhanbad will create a strong identity at the state level in the District Board Examination and the golden future of the students will come true.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner gave many important tips to the class 10 students regarding preparation for the examination in Hindi and Mathematics subjects. While writing answers in Hindi, he emphasized on clear language, correct spelling and point wise answers. At the same time, regular practice in mathematics, clear understanding of formulas and reading questions carefully were advised. He also interacted with the students of class 11 and gave them information about the examination system, answer writing style and time management. A message was also given to the students to set goals and work hard and become district topper.
The Deputy Commissioner also discussed the House system in schools and said that House activities develop leadership abilities, discipline and team spirit among the students. He instructed teachers to communicate regularly with students, identify their weaknesses and provide better guidance. Students were urged to study regularly even at home and stay away from mobile phones and other useless activities.
The students of BSS Girls School presented the demand of clean drinking water, computer lab, hall and play ground before the Deputy Commissioner. On this, the Deputy Commissioner directed to provide 10 computers to the school. Besides, the school kitchen was inspected and the quality and nutritional level of the mid-day meal was also checked.
Overall, this initiative of the district administration will not only prepare the students mentally and academically for the board exams. Rather, it will also prove to be an important step towards further strengthening the education system of government schools.
