It is said that difficulties in life break a person or the same difficulties strengthen him, something similar is seen in the story of Soni ji’s spicy food stall which is set up every evening in front of Natwar School in the city. About 24–25 years ago, the front part of one of his hands was amputated when his hand got stuck in the machine while extracting sugarcane juice. This accident could have halted the pace of life for anyone, but Soni ji did not let it become his weakness, but made a new beginning by taking courage and self-confidence as his companion. This spicy stall in front of Natwar School is not only a place of taste, but is also a unique example narrating the story of courage, struggle and self-reliance.
Families raising children by ignoring disability
Despite his disability, he did not give up. He started making and selling Murrah, Bhel, Phalli Dana and other spicy things on a cart. Gradually his handmade spicy food items became people’s favorite. Even today, as soon as it is evening, a crowd gathers at his cart in front of Natwar School. From children to youth and elders, everyone comes to enjoy the taste available at his cart.
