Beware of these trades, cyber fraud
Cheating in the name of giving ration to pregnant women – At present, Nutrition Month is organized in winter. In such a situation, people are being cheated in the name of giving ration to pregnant women or in the name of grant amount received from the government. You will also get a call and you will get a reply from there that I am an officer from the Child Development Department and your grant has arrived. You have to deposit this much security money. If you deposit the money, you will become a victim of cyber fraud. Therefore you have to be careful with this.
People are also being cheated in the name of marriage grant. A marriage grant campaign is being run under the Chief Minister’s Mass Marriage Scheme, for which people are being cheated of money by calling people and getting them to deposit money without registration by luring them with grants. Such cases have also been registered in Amethi.
Fraud through APK file also- Along with this, cyber criminals are sending many such cards along with the APK file containing RTO challan wedding card, as soon as you download it, your entire data will go to the cyber fraudsters. In such a situation, you will have to go to the settings of WhatsApp and turn off the auto download option so that you can avoid this fraud.

Additional Superintendent of Police, Amethi Gyanendra Kumar Singh said that cyber criminals are defrauding people through different activities, due to which people are losing a lot of their hard-earned money. In such a situation, people need to be cautious. He said that more than 1400 cases have been received out of which the cases are being resolved continuously and recovery of around Rs 63 lakh has also been done.
He said that if cyber fraud happens to you, then you do not need to worry. You have to register your complaint on the cyber helpline number 1930 on cybercrime.gov.in within 24 hours, after which the problem and cyber crime will be resolved quickly.
He said that my appeal to the people is to be cautious of any such unknown call and do not give any OTP. No one should fall into the trap of grants, along with this, be alert and aware of cyber crime.
