Bareilly News: A mountain of sorrow has fallen on the family of Sarvesh Gangwar. His wife also died of cancer two months ago. His two small twin children (five years old) have become orphans. Actually, family members allege that such an incident happened with Sarvesh due to pressure from SIR.
Bareilly: Booth level officer Santosh Kumar Gangwar had died due to cardiac arrest, which is a matter of discussion in the area. On Wednesday (November 26, 2025), he was doing form distribution and survey work while on duty in a school in Pardhauli village of Bhojipura block, when suddenly his health deteriorated. He felt severe chest pain and nervousness. The accompanying staff immediately took him to Pratap Hospital located at Mini Bypass, where doctors declared him dead.
Mental pressure is also being said to be the reason for the death of Santosh Kumar Gangwar. His wife died of cancer 2 months ago. Due to workload and non-fulfillment of targets, he remained worried and was having difficulty in working, due to which he died due to heart failure and there was an atmosphere of mourning in the house. His two children have also become orphans.
Family’s allegations, SIR’s pressure

The deceased’s brother Yogesh Gangwar and other family members have alleged that Sarvesh was under a lot of mental pressure for the work of SIR (Special Intensive Revision of Voter List).
Family members say that the workload and scolding from officers took his life. Basic Education Officer (BSA) and other officials reached the post-mortem house and assured the family of all possible help. Police are investigating the matter and the role of the supervisor is also being investigated.
District administration comes forward to help
District Magistrate Avinash Singh said that BLO Sarvesh died of heart attack. His wife has already died. Their dependents will be given benefits as per government provisions. The district administration will also help their children as much as possible. Sarvesh’s election work was good at the district and state level. His work was also praised four days ago.
