Sitamarhi city is once again going to be drenched with indigenous products, culture and the spirit of self-reliant India. Swadeshi fair will be organized in the sports ground of SRK Goenka College from 22nd to 29th December. In this fair, there will be a grand exhibition and sale of indigenous products related to Khadi and village industries, MSME, ODOP, self-help groups, FPOs and startups. Products related to food processing, handicrafts and livelihood missions will be the center of special attraction, which will provide a new market to local artisans and entrepreneurs.
The Bhoomi Pujan program was completed on Saturday regarding the Swadeshi Mela. On this occasion, Regional Organization Minister of Swadeshi Jagran Manch, Ajay Kumar said that this fair is not just a platform for buying and selling, but is a symbol of Indian culture, tradition and self-reliance. Along with promoting Vocal for Local, this fair opens the door to immense possibilities for startups, FPOs and MSMEs. Here the products made by artisans will get an opportunity to reach the consumer directly.

Artisans and producers from different states of the country will participate in the fair with their unique products. With this, not only the diversity of indigenous products will be seen. Rather, there will be a unique confluence of language, dialect, food and cultural traditions of different states. Traditional handicrafts, Khadi textiles, indigenous food products and rural innovations will connect people with Indian heritage. Will strengthen the concept of self-reliant India.

Organizers said that the Swadeshi Mela will be formally inaugurated by Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha on December 22. During the entire fair, cultural programs, glimpses of folk art and dishes full of traditional taste will attract people. Swadeshi Fair will not only be a business event for Sitamarhi, but it will also become a powerful medium to strengthen the local economy and spread Swadeshi consciousness to the people.
