Patna: Bihar Legislature has made a major change in the system of telephone allowance for its members i.e. MLA (MLA) and Legislative Council members (MLC). Now members will get a fixed phone allowance of ₹ 8,300 every month. There will no longer be a need to deposit vouchers or bills. Formally implementing this decision, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary presented a copy of Bihar Legislative Members Salary, Allowances and Pension (Amendment) Rules, 2025 in the House on 04 December 2025.
