The ash of Iceland’s Heli Gubbi volcano has become a new obstacle in the way of flights. Keeping passenger safety in mind, Air India has canceled 12 flights from New York, Dubai and Doha. Passengers have been given hotel-alternative flight options.
Air India Flight Cancellation: The ashes of Heli Gubbi Volcano, which erupted in Iceland last week, are still floating in the air. This volcanic ash is very dangerous for airplane engines, so as a precautionary measure, Air India has grounded all the Boeing 787 Dreamliners that passed through that area after the eruption. Result – A total of 12 international and domestic flights had to be canceled in the last 24 hours.
