Faridabad: Winter is continuously showing its effect in Haryana. Last night, the temperature was recorded much below normal in most of the districts of the state, due to which people had to face chill in the morning and night. The strong and cold winds blowing from the north-west have made the weather even colder. In many cities including Chandigarh, Ambala, Karnal, Rohtak, the temperature remained around 6 degrees, while in areas like Sirsa, Bhiwani and Faridabad the temperature was recorded below 8 degrees.
The mercury is continuously falling
The cold has increased significantly in Southern and Western Haryana also. In areas like Mahendragarh and Narnaul the mercury reached 6 degrees, while the temperature in Kaithal and Jind also saw a drop. Weather experts say that at present cold winds are active, due to which the temperature is continuously falling at night. There is every possibility of further increase in cold in the coming days also.
Night temperature will increase
A new western disturbance is going to become active from today, due to which changes will be seen in the weather again. During this period, there may be light clouds in the sky and the day temperature may drop slightly. However, due to cloud cover, a slight increase in night temperature can be seen. According to experts, the weather will remain changeable till December 7 and wind directions will also keep changing again and again. There is also a possibility of light fog in the morning at many places.

After December 8, north and north-westerly winds will once again become stronger, due to which the night temperature may come down rapidly again. The Meteorological Department has also warned of cold wave in 11 districts of Haryana, which include Sirsa, Hisar, Bhiwani, Fatehabad, Charkhi Dadri, Narnaul, Kaithal, Jind, Kurukshetra, Karnal and Panipat. In these areas, cold will be felt more in the morning and evening and the day temperature is also expected to be below normal.
The cold season has started
At present, the day temperature in the entire state is about 2 degrees below normal. The night temperature also remains around 2 degrees below. Narnaul was the coldest place at this time where the minimum temperature was recorded at 5.6 degrees Celsius. Overall, the real phase of winter has started in Haryana and in the coming days people will need to be more careful about the cold.
