Varanasi: Severe cold has knocked in UP. In the first week of December the minimum temperature has dropped to 4 degrees Celsius. Due to continuously falling temperatures, the effect of cold wave is now visible in many districts of the state. Apart from this, fog is also spreading rapidly. It is believed that its havoc will increase further in UP in the coming days. According to the information received from the Zonal Meteorological Center located in Amausi, Lucknow, the weather will be dry in both the eastern and western divisions of UP on December 6. In such a situation, light to moderate fog will be seen in different districts of the state during morning and late night. There is also a possibility of cold wave in some districts.
Even in the state capital Lucknow, Saturday morning started with a white blanket of fog. However, the weather will remain open here as the day progresses. It is forecast that today the minimum temperature in Lucknow will be around 10 and maximum around 25 degrees Celsius. A fluctuation of 1 degree Celsius may be seen in the coming 1 to 2 days. On the other hand, in Noida too, people will feel severe cold this morning and night. Today the minimum temperature here is expected to be 10 and maximum 23 degree Celsius. The temperature in Ghaziabad will also be around this.
BHU meteorologist Professor Manoj Kumar Srivastava said that now the cold will gradually increase in UP. There will not be much change in the maximum temperature in the next 3 days, but it is expected that a blanket of dense fog may be seen in the state from next week. Let us tell you that in the last 24 hours the lowest minimum temperature in the state was recorded in Kanpur. The minimum temperature here was 4.2 degrees Celsius. Dense fog with visibility of 500 meters was also seen in Moradabad.
