New Delhi. MP Shashi Tharoor did not attend the meeting of the strategic group of Congress led by Sonia Gandhi regarding the winter session of Parliament. This happened for the second time when the Lok Sabha MP from Thiruvananthapuram was not seen in an important party meeting.
However, Tharoor’s office says that he is in Kerala to serve his 90-year-old mother and is campaigning in the local body elections in Kerala. For example, due to campaigning in the local body elections, organization general secretary KC Venugopal could not reach Delhi for the meeting on Sunday.
Recently, Tharoor was also missing from the Congress meeting called on the issue of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list, for which poor health was cited by him. But at that time he was under the scanner because he had attended PM Modi’s program just a day earlier. There were many posts on ‘X’ praising the PM.
In such a situation, Tharoor’s continuous absence from major Congress meetings has become a topic of discussion. Anyway, the relationship between Congress and Tharoor has not been hidden from anyone for a long time and Tharoor’s inclination in favor of PM Modi on many occasions is also well known.
