There is often a concern about the purity of the Revdi available in the market, hence this home-made Revdi is a safe and nutritious option. Everyone likes its crispy texture and desi sweetness.
The ingredients required to make Revadi at home include 200 grams of sesame seeds, 250 grams of crushed jaggery, 1 tablespoon of ghee and 1 pinch of baking soda. The method of preparation is very simple. First of all, roast the sesame seeds on low flame until they become light golden and then keep them aside to cool. Heat ghee in the same pan and add crushed jaggery to it and add some water, stir continuously on low flame and melt the jaggery completely.

Add a pinch of baking soda to it, mix well and turn off the gas. Now add roasted sesame seeds (keep a little sesame seeds aside) and mix vigorously. Pour the prepared mixture on a greased plastic sheet or rolling board, press it and sprinkle the remaining sesame seeds on top.
