Many benefits of Chyawanprash have also been mentioned in Ayurveda and eating it keeps the body warm. In such a situation, today we are telling you an easy recipe to make Chyawanprash at home, with the help of which you can prepare it easily.
First of all, wash the gooseberries thoroughly and boil them. When the gooseberries become soft, remove their seeds and grind them finely in the mixer. Now heat some ghee in a pan and add this Amla pulp into it and keep stirring it on low flame. Fry it until its color turns light brown and the raw smell goes away. This step is very important because it prevents Amla from spoiling for a long time and enhances the taste of Chyawanprash.
Now add jaggery or sugar to it and keep mixing slowly so that it melts. When the mixture becomes a little thick, add all the powdered spices like cardamom, clove, cinnamon, pippali, black pepper, asafoetida, Giloy, Ashwagandha etc. in it. Keep stirring this mixture continuously on low flame so that it does not burn from below.

When the mixture thickens and takes on a jam-like consistency, turn off the gas and let it cool. After it cools down, add pure honey to it and mix well. Never add honey to hot mixture, otherwise its nutrients are lost.
Fill the prepared Chyawanprash in a clean glass jar. Keep it in a dry and cool place. Homemade Chyawanprash remains safe for 6 months. Take one spoon of Chyawanprash with lukewarm milk or water every morning on an empty stomach or before sleeping at night. Half a teaspoon is sufficient for children.
Ingredients required to make Chyawanprash include—500 grams of amla, 250 grams of desi ghee, 250 grams of pure honey, 300 grams of jaggery or sugar, 20 grams of ground cardamom, 10 grams of clove powder, 10 grams of cinnamon powder, 10 grams of Pipli (long pepper), 10 grams of black pepper powder, 1 teaspoon of asafoetida, 10 grams of Giloy, as well as if available. If there is Ashwagandha and Vidang powder.
