These homemade chips made from rice flour are not only delicious in taste, but are also a great and healthy alternative to market snacks. Homemade rice flour chips are crispy and light and are also very economical to make.

You will need very few ingredients to prepare great chips. For this, take 1 cup finely ground rice flour, water as required, salt as per taste and enough oil for frying. Among the spices, use half teaspoon red chili powder, half teaspoon coarse cumin and half teaspoon celery. These spices provide a desi and spicy taste to the chips.
Method of preparation of mixture
First of all, heat water in a deep pan and add salt, red chilli, cumin and celery in it. When the water starts boiling, reduce the flame and slowly add the rice flour. Keep stirring it continuously so that lumps do not form. When the flour absorbs all the water, turn off the gas and cover it and leave it for 5 minutes. When it becomes lukewarm, add one spoon of oil and knead it with hands until it becomes a smooth and soft dough.
Method of preparation and frying
Now make small balls of the prepared dough. Apply light oil on a plastic sheet or butter paper, place the dough in the center and roll it out very thinly with a rolling pin. You can cut them in round, square or triangular shape as per your choice. Heat oil in a pan on medium and carefully add chips and fry on low flame till they turn golden. Drain the prepared chips on kitchen tissue to remove excess oil.
Storage and serving
You can serve these chips with tomato ketchup or spicy mint chutney along with evening tea. After they cool completely, store them in an airtight container. These chips do not spoil for weeks and their crispness remains intact. This home prepared breakfast guarantees purity and taste.
