Russia rises further in Corona vaccination, first country to approve third vaccine

Moscow. Amidst the havoc of Corona Virus, Russia announced on Saturday that it would also include its third vaccine in the anti-corona vaccination campaign. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin told via television that the name of the third vaccine is Kovivac. The Prime Minister said that Russia will be the first country in the world to use its three vaccines in anti-corona vaccination. Russia said that from March, the third vaccine will also be applied to the countrymen. Kovivac is produced by a Chumakov-based government company. However, the clinical trials of the last phase of this vaccine will be done in March on 3000 people. It has been recommended to be given to people below 60 years of age.

Significantly, in August last year, Russia became the first country to announce vaccine making. He had approved the introduction of Sputnik-V vaccine to people even before the completion of clinical trials. Since then, more than two dozen countries have approved the use of Sputnik-V vaccine.

President Vladimir Putin announced last October that Russia had given permission to use its second vaccine Epivaccorona. The Prime Minister said that Russia has so far made one crore doses of Sputnik-V and 80 thousand doses of Epivaccorona.
