Recall due to a malfunction in the braking system According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, there were disturbances in the corroded brake callipers of Royal Enfield’s Continental GT and Interceptor 650 bikes. Because of which these bikes on the road increased the chances of accidents. According to NHTSA, this may be due to corrosion in the corroded brake callipers. At the same time, Royal Enfield has not yet issued a recall notification.

In May 2020, Royal Enfield bikes were recalled in these countries – In May 2020, Royal Enfield recalled 15,200 bikes of its Continental GT, Interceptor and Himalayan models from the UK, Europe and Korea due to corrosion in the brake calipers. At the same time, the company has not yet clarified whether the Royal Enfield bike will be recalled from the US like other countries.
