Railways has appealed to the passengers traveling on this route to check the latest timings, departure and arrival station of the train before travelling.
Rohtas: The ongoing remodeling work in the yard of Ranchi Railway Station, the capital of Jharkhand, is now affecting the operation of Ranchi-Sasaram Intercity Express. Due to this work being done with the aim of improving the safety of passengers and the structure of the station, South-Eastern Railways has made temporary changes in the route and operation of the train. Under this, Ranchi-Sasaram Intercity Express will now depart from Piska station instead of Ranchi station in the stipulated period and will reach there only.
The system will remain in effect till this date
According to the information received from Railways, this system will be applicable from 23 December to 8 January. During this period, Up train number 18635 Ranchi-Sasaram Intercity Express will depart from Piska station instead of Ranchi station from 23rd to 27th December, 29th December to 3rd January and 5th to 7th January. Similarly, down train number 18636 Sasaram-Ranchi Intercity Express will not reach Ranchi station during return from 24 to 28 December, 30 December to 4 January and 6 to 8 January. It will end its journey at Piska station itself.
Will not be able to catch train from Ranchi station
Railway officials have clarified that during this period, passengers will neither get the facility to catch the train from Ranchi station nor to get down there. Keeping in mind that yard remodeling may cause temporary disruption in the smooth operation of trains at Ranchi station, this decision has been taken so that passengers can be saved from unnecessary risk and inconvenience.

To avoid any kind of inconvenience, it will be important to pay attention to updates related to the station and train. As soon as the remodeling work is completed, Ranchi-Sasaram Intercity Express will return to its old route and normal operating system and will start running from Ranchi station as before.
