jamshedpurDue to important development work going on in East Coast Railway, the routes of many trains have been temporarily changed, This change will be applicable on different days between December 11 and December 20, 2025, South Eastern Railway has appealed to the passengers to check the updated information of their train before travelling, The date and new route of each train is given in detail below, so that passengers do not face any kind of problem,
First of all, Rourkela – Gunupur Express (18117) will be run on the changed route from 12 to 19 December. This train will reach Gunupur via Rourkela via Sambalpur, Titlagarh, Singapore Road and Vizianagaram. Similarly, Gunupur-Rourkela Express (18118) will also go to Rourkela via Vizianagaram, Singapore Road, Titlagarh and Sambalpur between 12th to 20th December.
Shalimar–Sambalpur Express Timings
The journey of Shalimar–Sambalpur Express (20831) will be diverted on 15, 17 and 19 December to run via Kharagpur, Tatanagar and Jharsuguda. Whereas its return train Sambalpur – Shalimar Express (20832) will be run on the instead route of Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Tatanagar and Kharagpur on 14, 16 and 18 December.
22803 Shalimar – Sambalpur Express will go via Tatanagar and Jharsuguda on 13th December. Whereas 22804 Sambalpur-Shalimar Express will be run via Sambalpur, Jharsuguda and Tatanagar on 12th and 19th December.
Timing of Dhanbad-Bhubaneswar special train
Changes have also been made in Dhanbad-Bhubaneswar special train. 02831 Dhanbad – Bhubaneswar special will reach Bhubaneswar via Kotshila, Muri, Chandil, Sini, Rajkharswan, Jareli, Nayagarh, Jakhapur, Cuttack from 12 to 19 December. Whereas 02832 Bhubaneswar-Dhanbad special will go to Dhanbad via Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jakhapur, Nayagarh, Jareli, Rajkharswan, Sini, Chandil, Muri and Kotshila from 11 to 19 December.
Important long distance train 22805 Bhubaneswar – Anand Vihar Express has been given a new route on 13 December. This train will go towards Delhi via Barang, Naraj Marthapur, Kapilas Road, Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Bhadrak, Hijli, Midnapore, Adra, Bhojudih, Khanudih and NSCB Gomoh. 22806 Anand Vihar – Bhubaneswar Express will also follow the same route in the reverse direction on 15th December.
Railways has said that the development work is being done for the safety and convenience of the passengers. At present the route change is temporary. Passengers are requested to get information from the official website, helpline or station before travelling, so that they do not face any problem.
