It is very important for rose plants to get adequate sunlight. In such weather, plants should be kept in such a place where they can get at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily. Due to lack of sunlight, the growth of plants stops and the size of flowers also remains small.
Rakesh Singh further explains that organic fertilizer is most suitable for roses. Plants get essential nutrients by mixing rotted cow dung, vermicompost and mustard cake in limited quantities in the soil. Due to this, more buds are formed and flowers last longer.
There is no need to keep the soil continuously wet in winter. Watering should be done only when the soil feels dry on top. Excessive watering can cause root rot.
He advised to adopt home remedies to prevent pests and diseases. Spraying the solution prepared from neem oil or neem leaves at regular intervals protects against insects and fungus. This keeps the plants healthy and the quality of flowers improves.
In the end, it is also important to lightly hoe the soil and remove dry leaves from time to time. With proper care and balanced nutrition, rose plants produce abundant flowers in winter and enhance the beauty of home and garden.
