Etawah News: A sensational case related to honor killing has come to light in Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh. According to the information, retired inspector Ranveer Singh Yadav, living in Malpura area of Agra, murdered his daughter Anshu Yadav and threw her body in the Yamuna river in Ikdil area of Etawah district.
The matter is of Malpura police station area of Agra. The victim Anshu Yadav was missing for the last one and a half month. Her father Ranveer Singh Yadav had filed a missing report in the police station on October 30 that his daughter had left the house without informing him. But on December 13, Anshu’s lover Anurag Yadav complained to the police that the family members had murdered her and disposed of the body. The lover claimed that Anshu was having an affair with a young man who appeared to be his nephew, due to which the family was angry.
This is how the whole matter unfolded
After the complaint, the police started strictly interrogating the family members. As suspicion deepened, the retired sub-inspector and his family members were detained. During interrogation, the accused reportedly confessed to the crime. On his instructions, the Agra Police team reached Etawah. A search operation was conducted in the bushes on the banks of Yamuna river near Gwalior bypass in Ikdil police station area of Etawah. A skeleton and bone remains were found there, which were captured by the police. The forensic team collected samples, which will be sent for DNA testing.
The murder took place in October
According to police officials, the murder took place in the month of October. The girl’s life was taken by strangulation in the house. After this, the family members reached Etawah with the dead body by car and went to their relatives in Jaswantnagar area. From there the body was thrown on the banks of Yamuna. However, the body did not fall into the water and remained in the bushes, where wild animals mutilated it. Police say that the family feared that Anshu’s love affair was hindering the marriage of his younger siblings, hence this step was taken.
Waiting for DNA report
Malpura police station in-charge Vinod Mishra said that a case of murder has been registered against the accused. The retired sub-inspector, his wife, son and another relative have been named. Etawah Police and SDRF teams also helped in the search. After the DNA report comes, the body will be confirmed and further action will be taken.
