The ongoing power tussle in Karnataka took a new turn on Thursday, when the tension over the CM post came to the fore between the supporters of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar. The situation became so heated that the Congress high command had to intervene. On the other hand, Shivkumar made a post on X in the morning – ‘Word Power is World Power. The greatest power in the world is to keep one’s promise. This message was considered to be a hint towards the ‘power-sharing’ agreement allegedly signed in May 2023. Try to remind Siddaramaiah and the high command to keep their promises. Shivkumar did not stop here. He further wrote,
Be it a judge, the President or even me – everyone should follow his own words. Word power is world power. The people standing behind do not know the value of the chair… What is the value and importance of the chair… Now Siddaramaiah has replied on this. He has written in the same language, responsibility which lasts for five years.
