A shocking case of fraud has come to light from Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh, where a young man posing as a fake policeman duped the family of a real policeman. However, the police has arrested the accused youth. This incident took place in Kutbi village of Shahpur police station area.
Muzaffarnagar: A shocking case of fraud has come to light from Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh, where a young man posing as a fake policeman duped the family of a real policeman. However, the police has arrested the accused youth. This incident took place in Kutbi village of Shahpur police station area, where a boy named Mohit Chaudhary is currently training as a constable. The accused youth went to his house wearing police uniform and asked for Rs 10,000, pretending to be Mohit’s friend. However, the family members gave him only Rs 3000.
Mohit’s call came and it was revealed
The accused had told the family members that he was training with Mohit and had asked for Rs 10,000. Trusting him, Mohit’s family gave him Rs 3000. But after the departure of this fake policeman, when Mohit’s call came, the family members realized that they had been cheated, after which Mohit’s family members immediately complained about this incident to Shahpur police station, after which the police caught hold of the accused in this case and arrested him on Tuesday.
What was found from the accused
During police interrogation, he revealed his name as Manoj Kumar alias Gupta, resident of Baghpat, from whom the police also recovered cash worth ₹ 2000, police uniform, shoes, Aadhar card, a knife and a motorcycle. After which the police has sent this fake policeman to his real place behind the bars.
Giving information about this, SP Rural Aditya Bansal said that this incident had come to light in Shahpur police station, in which a suspicious person was extorting money from some people by donning a police uniform.
Police disclosed the incident
Disclosing the incident, he said that the accused youth went to the house of the trainee constable and demanded money, claiming to be his friend. As soon as the police received information that this type of suspicious person was roaming around. Immediately the police reached the spot and verified it. It was found to be completely fake. He was arrested and a case was registered under relevant sections. The money he had looted from people by fraud. He was recovered from it and a case was registered under strict sections and he was sent to jail.
