Mercury reached minus 3.5 degree in Fatehpur
On the other hand, Shekhawati is in the grip of extreme cold. In Fatehpur of Sikar district of Shekhawati, the mercury had reached minus 3.5 degrees on Saturday morning. Friday night was the coldest night of the season in this area. Due to the mercury reaching minus, a layer of ice had frozen on the crops in the fields. According to the farmers, there has been a lot of damage to the crops due to this. On the other hand, in Khajuwala area of Bikaner district, the bone-chilling cold made life difficult for the people as the mercury reached near the freezing point. Here too, snow froze on crops and vehicles.

In Sriganganagar of Bikaner division itself, the mercury dropped to 4.6 degree Celsius on Friday night. Due to this melting increased here and a layer of snow was seen on the crops in the fields. In Mount Abu of Sirohi district, the only hill tourist destination of the state, the cold did not allow people to come out of their houses. The harsh winter conditions continued in Bharatpur of eastern Rajasthan. It was a matter of relief that people got relief from the fog on Saturday.
