Rahul Gandhi BMW Germany Visit: After visiting the BMW factory in Germany, Rahul Gandhi raised questions on India’s manufacturing. He described it as a decline, to which BJP retaliated strongly by presenting figures of electronics and auto sectors and termed the statement misleading.
Rahul Gandhi BMW Germany Visit: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Germany has once again intensified the political debate on India’s manufacturing capacity. After visiting BMW’s state-of-the-art factory in Munich, Rahul Gandhi posted on social media expressing concern about manufacturing in India and said that the manufacturing sector in the country is in ‘sad decline’.
Immediately after this statement of Rahul Gandhi, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) hit back and called it misleading and beyond the facts. BJP claimed through statistics that during the tenure of Modi government, there has been a historic growth in the manufacturing sector, especially in the electronics and automobile industries. With this, this issue has come into the center of political allegations and counter-allegations.
What did Rahul Gandhi say in Germany?
During his visit to Germany, Rahul Gandhi visited BMW Welt and the BMW manufacturing plant in Munich. He described it as an example of ‘world-class manufacturing’ and said that manufacturing is the backbone of a strong economy.
Why is Rahul Gandhi worried about India?
Rahul Gandhi said that India needs a better manufacturing ecosystem to create employment on a large scale. He claimed that in the current situation, the manufacturing sector in India is not progressing at the expected pace. Due to this the youth are not getting enough jobs.
Why gave the example of BMW-TVS?
In his post, Rahul Gandhi also mentioned the 450cc motorcycle developed in partnership with BMW and TVS Motors. He described it as a proud example of the capability of Indian engineering. But at the same time the question was also raised as to why such examples are not seen on a large scale in the country.
BJP’s sharp counterattack
BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari termed Rahul Gandhi’s statement as ‘fake news’. He said that the real picture of the country comes out not through political rhetoric but through concrete data. BJP alleges that Rahul Gandhi is deliberately ignoring India’s development story.
Which figures did BJP count?
- Electronics production in 2014-15: ₹1.9 lakh crore.
- Electronics production in 2024-25: ₹11.3 lakh crore.
- Electronics Export: Increase from ₹38,000 crore to ₹3.27 lakh crore.
- Mobile Manufacturing Unit: Increased from 2 to around 300.
- Mobile phone production value: Almost 30 times increase.
Rahul Gandhi has once again lied about India’s growth story.
Rahul loves to hate India’s growth story through his FAKE NEWS!
Numbers speak for themselves.
