Mathura. A major accident took place on the Yamuna Expressway in Mathura in the early hours of Tuesday due to the collision of several vehicles. Everything was burnt due to fire at the accident site. 42 year old Parvati Devi got trapped in the burning bus. They had only a few seconds to escape. When the fire was getting closer, they broke the window and pushed their two children out. This saved the lives of the children. But could not get out herself. His elder son Akash Kumar said, “The pieces of broken glass hit his neck.”
Identification of the dead difficult
It is difficult to identify those killed because the bodies are badly burnt. Rural SP Suresh Chand Rawat said that DNA test will find out whether Parvati is also among those who died or not. Parvati was going to Noida with her two children from Hamirpur, where her husband Govind lives. As soon as the news of the accident was received, her son, husband and brother-in-law Gulzari reached Mathura. But till now no trace of Parvati has been found.
Police gave assurance to the family
Brother-in-law Gulzari said that he had searched in the district hospital and a hospital in Vrindavan, but nothing was found. “We roamed around from place to place, even went to the postmortem house, but nothing. This accident ruined our lives.” Police and officials are assuring the family that every effort is being made to find the body. Rawat said, “We are trying our best to find his mother.”
