Puran Poli Ingredients
To make the mixture:
1 cup washed chickpea lentils
3 cups of water
1 cup sugar
1 tsp cardamom powder
To make a doe:
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
2 tablespoons Ghee
Pooran Poli Recipe:
To make the lentil mixture:
Wash the gram lentils in the cooker, add water and cook it for 3 to 4 whistles. Now drain the lentils and grind them coarsely.

– Turn this dal in the cooker and add sugar to it and mix it well. Cook on low heat.
– Add ground cardamom and grated nutmeg and mix. Allow this mixture to cool.
Knead the dough to make puran poli. Put maida, salt and ghee in a big vessel and mix. Knead the dough by adding a little water. Now cover the vessel with a wet cloth and leave it for 30 minutes.
Make Puran Poli. For this, roll the dough into the shape of a roti.
Fill the prepared mixture in this roti and roll it into a circle again. Put the griddle on the gas. When the griddle gets hot, put the Puran Poli on it and bake it well by applying ghee on both the sides.
Pooran Poli is ready. Serve it with ghee.
