Kolkata. The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has approved the formation of two important committees (Disciplinary Action Committee and Manifesto Committee) for the West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee. This decision has been implemented with immediate effect after the approval of the Congress President. In this regard, AICC General Secretary and MP KC Venugopal has issued an official press release on Monday.
Senior leader Debprasad Ray has been appointed Chairman of the Disciplinary Action Committee of West Bengal Pradesh Congress, while Prashant K. Dutt has been made the vice-chairman of the committee. A total of seven members have been included in the committee, including Prof. The names of Pradeep Bhattacharya, Isha Khan Chaudhary, Supriyo Bose, Dr. Maya Ghosh, Krishna Debnath, Nirmal Ghosh Dastidar and Ritju Ghoshal are included.
According to party sources, this committee will work towards strengthening organizational discipline and taking quick decisions in internal matters. Whereas the manifesto committee was headed by Prof. Has been handed over to Pradeep Bhattacharya. Amitabh Chakraborty has been given the responsibility as the vice-chairman of the committee.
A total of 15 members have been included in this committee, which include Munish Tamang, Sukh Bilas Burma, Firoza Begum, Nirmal Kumar Bhadra, Chandan Ghosh, Shiladitya Haldar, Prosenjit Bose, Sujit Patwari, Kamruzzaman Chaudhary, Hasanuzzaman Bappa, S.K. Ehsaan Khan, Sudeep Majumdar, Amitabh Sinha, Shantanu Roy Chowdhury and Swaraj Mandi are included. This committee will focus on linking the upcoming political strategy and party manifesto with grassroots issues.
Apart from this, the party has also included many senior leaders as special invitees. Among these, the names of Adhir Ranjan Choudhary, Deepa Das Munshi, Isha Khan Choudhary, Deb Prasad Roy, Abdul Mannan, Manoranjan Haldar, Abhijeet Mukherjee, Sunil Tirkey, Nepal Mahato, Mohit Sengupta, Ali Imran Ramaz, Santosh Pathak, Sujay Ghatak, Syed Mustafa and Geeta Sardar are prominent. The Congress leadership believes that the formation of these two committees will give new strength to the organization in West Bengal and the party will be better prepared for the upcoming political challenges.
