New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Narendra Modi) taught the party MPs the tricks of working. In the midst of the recently concluded winter session of Parliament, the party turned breakfast meetings with MPs into strength-building meetings. In these meetings, the Prime Minister explained to them the importance of social media, the importance of digital presence in changing perceptions at present and in times to come. According to sources, Prime Minister Modi held breakfast meetings with MPs in groups made according to states on three occasions in the recently concluded winter session of Parliament. Sources said that during these meetings, party MPs were asked to work vigorously to increase their following on social media and keep voters engaged.
Sources said that the Prime Minister has instructed the party’s Rajya Sabha MPs to focus exclusively on connecting people. At present, there are 92 MPs of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the Rajya Sabha. Sources said, “Rajya Sabha MPs have even been told that they do not have any constituency, so they should be encouraged to actively participate in the work or responsibilities assigned to them by the party.
Emphasis on social media presence
It is said that the Prime Minister also emphasized on promoting the work done by the center and its impression on the coming generations. According to sources, while the MPs were asked to be present in Parliament at all times and come prepared for debates and discussions, they were also urged to be present on social media.
Sources said, “All MPs were individually assessed regarding their presence and engagement on social media. In some parameters it was also seen whether the presence of MPs on various social media platforms especially Twitter is good or not. Sources said, “The MPs were also judged on whether they shared content through the NaMo app on the initiative of the government, especially Prime Minister Modi. Apart from this, have they shared media coverage and columns on trending issues such as major decisions of the government, electoral success of the party, works of the party/government and other issues on social media. Whether the content of Mann Ki Baat is shared widely or not, along with attacking the negative politics of the opposition.
MPs should organize trips to visit historical places
Sources said, “The Prime Minister asked his party colleagues how many of them have visited the Prime Minister’s Museum, Kashi and Mahakal corridors, Statue of Unity and other such places built purposelessly in the larger public interest.” The PM encouraged the MPs to visit these historical places and also directed to organize tours for the public at these historical places.
