Khajur Gond Pak is a traditional winter sweet of Rajasthan, which is considered a treasure of health. It is especially beneficial for children, elderly and physically weak people. Prepared from desi ghee, nutritious seeds and dry fruits, this pak maintains warmth in the body, thereby preventing diseases and physical problems caused by cold.
According to villager Kiran Devi, desi ghee, edible gum, dates, almonds, cashews, pistachios, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, poppy seeds and dry coconut powder are the essential ingredients for making Date Gum Pak. It is very easy to make this recipe.

First of all, heat desi ghee in a pan and fry gum in it well on low flame. When the gum swells, take it out, cool it and then grind it coarsely. Now add almonds, cashews, pistachios, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds in the same pan and roast on low flame for 2 to 3 minutes. After this, add poppy seeds and dry coconut powder to it and fry it lightly for 4 to 5 minutes and take out the mixture in a separate vessel.
Now add some ghee in the pan, add dates and cook them well. After some time, the dates will become soft and become like a paste. Now add previously prepared dry fruits and crushed gum to it. When this mixture starts leaving the pan, understand that the pak is ready. After this, spread it in a greased plate, let it cool and then cut it into desired pieces.
Date Gum Pak is very helpful in keeping the body warm during winter. It removes physical weakness and strengthens bones and also increases immunity. Desi ghee and gum present in it provide relief from joint pain, while dates and dry fruits provide instant energy to the body. This sweet acts like a natural tonic for the body in the harsh winter.
