Devendra Fadnavis- Sharad Pawar Meeting: The issue of Maratha reservation in jobs and education is hot in Maharashtra. In such a situation, this meeting between two big leaders of the state has increased the discussion in the political corridors.
Mumbai. Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met Sharad Pawar, the top leader of the power alliance. After this meeting, many speculations have been started in the politics of Maharashtra. However, Fadnavis has clarified through tweet that it was just a courtesy call. Fadnavis continues to be a constant attacker on the government of CM Uddhav Thackeray.
Leader of the opposition party, Fadnavis had reached Pawar on Monday morning. He gave this information on Twitter as well. He had told that he had come to inquire about the health of Pawar, who had recently undergone bladder surgery. The former CM wrote, ‘Met former Union Minister and senior leader Shri Sharad Pawar ji at his house on Monday morning. It was a courtesy meeting.
The issue of Maratha reservation in jobs and education is hot in the state. In such a situation, this meeting between two big leaders of the state has increased the discussion in the political corridors. Fadnavis and Maharashtra BJP President Chandrakant Patil are continuously targeting the government on the issue of reservation. Recently, the Supreme Court has repealed the law giving reservation in government jobs and education to the Maratha community.
Last month, the Supreme Court had termed this quota as ‘unconstitutional’ that this law, which came in 2018, has crossed the 50 percent limit of reservation. At the same time, the Bharatiya Janata Party is preparing to protest against the government on June 5 on this issue of reservation. Apart from this, Fadnavis is criticizing the government on the issue of Kovid.
The special thing is that in the last two years, there has been tension in the alliance between Shiv Sena-NCP. According to media reports, it is said that Thackeray has discussed with Pawar many times over differences with NCP minister Jayant Patil. There is a Maha Aghadi government in the state of the alliance of NCP, Congress and Shiv Sena.
