Operation Sindoor News: In ‘Operation Sindoor’, the Indian Army had destroyed the PoK hideouts of Masood Azhar, Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed. More than 100 terrorists were killed in this operation. Ashok Yadav of BSF said that ‘Operation Sindoor’ is going on and any attempt by Pakistan to disrupt peace will be given a befitting reply.
Srinagar. Border Security Force (BSF) Inspector General Ashok Yadav on Sunday said that despite the destruction of several terrorist hideouts in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) during ‘Operation Sindoor’, some terrorist ‘launch pads’ across the Line of Control (LoC) are still active. “Many terrorist launch pads across the Line of Control were destroyed during Operation Sindoor, but some launch pads are still active where terrorists are present,” Yadav told reporters on the sidelines of an event in Srinagar.
He said that security forces along the Line of Control are on alert to foil any attempt by terrorists to intrude into Kashmir. Yadav said, “There are always attempts from Pakistan to infiltrate terrorists before winter. As you know, visibility is low these days, but we have modern surveillance equipment and we are effectively keeping an eye on sensitive areas. Our effort is to foil any infiltration attempt.”
Yadav said that ‘Operation Sindoor’ is ongoing and any attempt by Pakistan to disrupt peace will be given a befitting reply. When asked about changes in preparedness along the Line of Control after ‘Operation Sindoor’, Yadav said, “Every challenge provides an opportunity to learn. Whatever we learn from those challenges is included in the future strategy, so that new challenges can be faced effectively.”
India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’ against Pakistan
Let us tell you that on April 22, terrorists had carried out a deadly attack on innocent people in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, in which 26 civilians were brutally murdered. Before the attack, the terrorists asked about religion and then killed the people. A large number of tourists were among the dead. After this heart-wrenching incident, the Indian Army launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ against the terrorists on 7 May. In this retaliatory action of the army, 9 terrorist hideouts present in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir (POK) were targeted. It also included terrorist camps of Masood Azhar’s Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed and Hafiz Saeed’s Jamaat-ud-Dawa. More than 100 terrorists were killed in this operation.
At the same time, the Pakistani Army fired drones and missiles at India in an attempt to retaliate, but Indian air defense systems like Akashteer and S-400 destroyed them in the air. After this, India retaliated strongly and destroyed 9 to 11 Air Force bases of Pakistan. Frightened by this strict military action, the Pakistani Army appealed for a ceasefire. Pakistani DGMO contacted the Indian counterpart and proposed to end the tension, on which both the countries agreed to a temporary ceasefire. India also presented the evidence of its military action to the international community, which made it clear that India’s retaliatory action was not just self-defense but part of a decisive policy to root out terrorism.
