Poco is going to launch its new budget 5G smartphone Poco C85 5G in India today. The company has already teased many of its features, which makes it clear that the phone is going to give a big competition in the budget segment with its powerful battery, large display and good performance. After launch, this phone will be available on Flipkart in Mystic Purple, Spring Green and Power Black colors.
Poco C85 5G will be launched in India today, December 9 at 12 noon. It is not clear yet whether the company will present it in a live event or just do a soft launch. If the live event takes place, it can be seen on Poco’s website, YouTube channel and social media platforms.
How much can Poco C85 5G cost in India?
The company has not yet disclosed its price in India. The global price of its 4G version starts from $109 (approximately ₹ 9,600). The starting price of the 8GB + 256GB variant was $129 (approximately ₹ 11,400).
Its 5G model is expected to be launched in India for a little more than this, i.e. between ₹ 10,000 to ₹ 12,000. The phone can be purchased on Flipkart after launch.
Features and specifications of Poco C85 5G
Poco C85 5G is bringing a powerful feature set in the budget segment. The phone has a large 6.9-inch HD+ display, which comes with 120Hz refresh rate and 810 nits brightness.
Its screen comes with TUV Low Blue Light, Flicker-Free and Circadian certification, which causes less strain on the eyes when used for long periods of time.
For performance, it has been provided with MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, with which there is support of up to 8GB of RAM and virtual RAM expansion up to 8GB. Poco is also promising two major Android updates and four years of security updates for this phone.
In the camera section, Poco C85 5G comes with a 50MP dual AI rear camera setup, which is designed to deliver better daylight photos, portraits and low-light shots. An AI camera will be available in the front for selfie.
Talking about the battery, it has a large 6,000mAh battery pack, which supports 33W fast charging and 10W reverse charging. The company claims that this phone can provide more than 106 hours of music playback. The phone has got IP64 rating, which means it will be protected from dust and light water splashes.
