Creating a small herbal garden in your home is the easiest and most rewarding hobby. It not only brings greenery, but also fills your kitchen with fresh, natural and healthy things. Plants like basil, mint and aloe vera thrive with very little care. You can easily grow them in pots on the kitchen window or in the balcony. According to gardening expert Ramesh Kumar, these plants not only enhance the taste of food, but also work as a natural remedy for many minor health problems. Let us know about these three super herbs planting.
Expert Ramesh Kumar said that growing these plants is not rocket science at all. First of all, use pots which have drainage holes at the bottom so that excess water can drain out. Use good quality potting soil. Provide at least 4 to 5 hours of sunlight daily to basil and mint, while keep aloe vera in a bright place instead of strong sunlight. The biggest mistake is overwatering. Allow the soil to dry slightly before watering again. Keep cutting the mint from time to time, so that it spreads more.
He told that it is also important to use herbs properly. While plucking basil and mint leaves, pluck them from above the stem, this will make the plant more dense. Never pluck all the leaves at once. Use fresh leaves directly in food or make tea. Cut an aloe vera leaf and wash it, then peel off the peel and take out the gel inside. You can also store these herbs by washing and drying them. Chutney, curry, soup, drinks and face packs can be made from them.
